Starting September 17, the museum will be open to the RISD community and will open to our college & university members on a phased schedule to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors. Learn more about when and how you can visit and the extra safety guidelines being implemented this semester.
You are welcome to explore art and ideas in the galleries. Pencils and sketchbooks are always welcome.
RISD students can apply for the Dorner Prize, an annual installation competition.
In the future, we’re excited to welcome students back to paint, photograph, or film in the galleries. Learn more about opportunities and guidelines.
Visit the galleries for brief moments or extended experiences. Café Pearl provides coffee and snacks to refuel in-house (temporarily closed).
Many area colleges and universities are members of the RISD Museum. Free admission is available to the students, faculty and staff of those institutions.
