Collector's Journey
Explore artists’ studios and see how creativity and collecting intersect. Join us for an inside look at the creative practices of artists May Babcock and Lindsey Beal in a special studio visit hosted by the artists and RISD Museum curator Conor Moynihan. Babcock transforms foraged natural materials into artist-made paper that reflects ecology and place, while Beal uses photography and archival research to explore technology, parenting, and reproductive health in American history. Recently, they have worked collaboratively in projects like Lamina and A Living Archive to merge foraging, papermaking, and alternative photography. In this studio visit, the artists will share their work, creative process, and the ideas that fuel their collaboration. member $50, non-member $60
