Porcelain Lecture

Paul F. Miller, Curator of The Preservation Society of Newport County, presents an illustrated lecture entitled: "From Tiles to Tureens, Three Centuries of Ceramics in the Collections of The Preservation society of Newport County". The ceramics collections of The Preservation Society of Newport County embrace a broad range of eras and styles, from 18th-century Delftware tiled fireplace surrounds and early Chinese Export tea services to Aesthetic Movement art pottery, Grand Tour collections of Meissen, Sevres and classical Greco-Roman pottery.
Paul F. Miller is a graduate of The John Hopkins University and a former Getty Scholar at the Getty Research Institute, his specialty is in the field of Gilded Age architectural interiors.
