About
James Montford, a Black artist and Director of the Edward Mitchell Bannister Gallery at Rhode Island College, is interested in connecting the conceptual concerns of art with transculturalism at the center of the aesthetic debate. A kindred spirit of Kara Walker, his interactive talk explores Walker's challenges of race and racialization in the academy and the art world.
