On the upper right side of the frame, there is a grahite mark, possibly an "N"[?].On the upper left side of the frame, there is a black mark, possibly a "2"[?]. In the upper left corner of the stretcher, the RISD Museum accession number "55.112" is written in red.In the upper right corner, an ambiguous figure, possibly a "2", is incised with graphite.In the upper left quadrant of the back of the canvas, there is illegible, dark writing.
