Re-Knitting The Social
About
How can we repair our social fabric through radical acts of public-making? This Design Studio for Social Intervention Creativity Lab, within the exhibit Repair and Design Futures, invites everyone to experiment with new ways of being in public that can begin to create the world we want.
At DS4SI, we believe that political tensions and violence are both explicit and implicit, creating a larger atmosphere that can feel like pain, trauma, fear, and suspicion of others. We aim to create counter atmospheres to break out of these cycles and re-knit our social fabric. We invite everyone to participate in activity stations—from manifesto writing to button making and life-size collaborative weaving—to practice ways of being in public that create atmospheres of inclusivity, curiosity, and joy.
At 1 pm, join DS4SI for a grounding discussion on New Atmospheres in Public.
