About
The existence of wallpapers within museum collections is rare due to their fragile materiality. Our current exhibition The Art of French Wallpaper Design features stunning samples from the 1700s and 1800s. Jenn Wilson, museum educator, will lead this three-part series using close-looking exercises as an entryway into dialogue. Sessions will delve into interior designs from the time period, the complex production process, conservation, and global influences with examples from within the exhibition and other galleries to illustrate broader themes that connect art across time and space.
