Titlepage and 18 plates from Goya's series known as Los Proverbios (The Proverbs) or Los Disparates (The Follies). Goya probably worked on the plates between 1816 and 1824. This is a complete set of the first edition, printed in the workshop of Laurenciano Potenciano, and published posthumously by the Academia de San Fernando in Madrid in 1864.
