Listen in to a live episode of The Critic and Her Publics, a podcast hosted by Merve Emre, contributing writer at The New Yorker and Shapiro-Silverberg Professor of Creative Writing and Criticism and Director of the Shapiro Center at Wesleyan University. Emre will interview Elisa Gabbert, the author of seven collections of poetry, essays, and criticism, including Any Person Is the Only Self, published in June 2024 by FSG. Emre and Gabbert will discuss their approaches to literary criticism and examine a text together. After the discussion, there will be an audience Q&A.
