About
Changes in display are explored in the Egyptian Galleries with a focus on care and conservation of objects dating to the Greco-Roman period. Join Gina Borromeo, Curator of Ancient Art, for insight into the reinstallation of the Ptolemaic coffin and mummy of Nesmin, painted panels depicting elite members of Egyptian society from the Fayum Oasis (first to third centuries CE), and a rare framed painting on wood of the god Heron (ca. 200) still in its original wooden frame.
Free with admission. Registration requested.
