Exhibition Design Tour
As part of DesignxRI’s DESIGN WEEK RI, join the RISD Museum’s creative team for an inside look at how bold ideas take shape—from concept to immersive experience. In this dynamic conversation, digital content creators, graphic designers, and exhibition installers will share how they collaboratively designed Liz Collins: Motherlode, an exhibition that blends large-scale sculpture, fashion, needlework, performance, and ephemera.
Derek Schusterbauer (Assistant Director of Graphic Design), Jeremy Radtke (Director, Digital Initiatives), and Stephen Wing (Manager of Preparation & Installation) will walk through the process of creating graphics, layout, and interpretive elements that support the artist’s vision. Their cross-departmental approach reflects the RISD Museum’s commitment to unlocking the creative process and building inclusive, responsive spaces where all audiences can actively engage with art and design.
Discover how thoughtful design can transform a gallery—and deepen the connection between artist, artwork, and audience.
