About
Faculty fellow David Borgonjon leads a conversation on classroom discussions of the relationship between artworks and movements for social justice. We will begin with a discussion of our teaching experiences and challenges we've encountered. Then we will view a selection of artworks from the collection that were created with an explicit political goal. We will then conclude with several exercises to practice leading conversations about art with political intent and impact. The goal is to show how object-based learning can help to introduce pressing and complex questions about art and politics into the classroom.
