Nicholas Dawes, vice president of special collections at Heritage Auction Galleries, lectures on this period in ceramic design and manufacture. Dawes, a native of England, led the Ceramics Department at Phillips Auctioneers in New York, has written on decorative arts, taught at Parsons, the New School for Design, and appeared as an appraiser for 'Antiques Roadshow'.
