Museum at Night
Museum at Night returns with an evening of art, music, and making, celebrating the opening of A Shared Journey: The Barkan Contemporary Ceramic Collection. Join us for lively conversations with local artists, dip your hands into the pottery process, discover newly installed ceramic works, and enjoy retro-inspired beats as the museum comes alive with creative energy.
Tunes + Treats – Grab a drink, enjoy light bites, and unwind to retro-inspired beats brought to you by DJ Yoorlan as the museum comes alive with creative energy. Free snacks. Cash bar.
Hands-on Art: Remembrance – Engage with Remembrance by Prinshu Gautam dipping your finger in blue underglaze and adding your mark to the artwork. Your fingerprints on the bisqued ceramic ware will provide the final touch needed to complete this work.
Work in Process: Ceramic Artists – Explore the museum and connect with four ceramic artists demonstrating their favorite tools and techniques in spaces across multiple floors of the museum. Meet these talented artists who will share their ceramic techniques:
Ana Popescu, RISD MFA Ceramics 2025
Katherine Fu, RISD BFA Ceramic 2025 + MA Teaching + Learning 2026
Noli Gomes, University of Rhode Island BFA Ceramics 2025
