Providence Research Ensemble
The Providence Research Ensemble (P.R.E.) was founded in 2014 by J. P. A. Falzone, an inaugural Artist Fellow (now Research Resident) of the RISD Museum in 2016. Also joining this performance is Laura Cetilia, a composer and cellist and a longtime active force in the musical life of the city. The ensemble will be featuring as a special guest the New York based composer-performer, Teodora Stepančić, whose album O A | F G was released on the U.K. label Another Timbre earlier this year and recently performed by Ordinary Affects, of which Cetilia and Falzone are also both members.
The program will consist of Stepančić’s F G from the Another Timbre release in a new arrangement composed especially for the occasion together with two new works by Cetilia and Falzone. Equinocturn by Falzone is written in the quartertone system of 24 pitches to the octave.
Seating will be provided, and throughout the performance the public are invited to move about the gallery as they wish.
Free. Drop in to this in-person performance.
