Spotlight Sessions
About
Take a deep dive into our exhibition Nancy Elizabeth Prophet: I Will Not Bend an Inch in this three-part series facilitated by museum educator, Jenn Wilson. Using close-looking exercises as an entryway into dialogue, these sessions will delve into Prophet’s artistry and situate her legacy within a global context. Sessions will focus on Prophet’s work as well as artworks on view in other galleries, illustrate broader themes that connect art across time and space. Some discussion will also focus on museum practices for collection care and stewardship.

Registration for this in-person program is required. Space is limited.
Fee: Fee: $40 for museum members, faculty, staff, and students of college and university member institutions, and seniors; $60 for all other adults.
Jenn Wilson is a Rhode Island local, and she delights in facilitating conversations around art and history. She is the Director of Programming and Advocacy at the New England Museum Association. She has held positions at Trinity Repertory Company, the Gamm Theatre, the Rhode Island Historical Society, and is currently a guide for Gallery Night Providence. She holds a BA in English literature and theatre arts from Wheaton College (MA).
