Summer Institute for Educators
About
Investigate how the visual arts can play a crucial role in activating inquiry, dialogue, reflection and responses to social issues. Designed for K-12 educators teaching different subjects, this four-day institute will explore tools and approaches for selecting, interpreting, creating and responding to art to engage relevant social issues in different contexts including museums, schools and public spaces. The Summer Institute is led by RISD Museum educators and guest artists. Program runs July 9, 10, 11, 12.
Cost of workshop is $175 ($80 for current students) with lunch provided.
