Faculty Exhibition Overview
About
Consider how disability and illness are embodied and experienced, and how they have been represented by artists and deployed as visual tropes in this gallery walk through. In the exhibition, Variance: Making, Unmaking, and Remaking Disability, Conor Moynihan, Assistant Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Photographs, invites participants to reflect on what is gained, generated, or open to imagination by embracing disability as a critical framework through which to experience the world. Explore how your teaching and artistic practices might be supported by engaging with the works and ideas. Speak with education department staff about ways to integrate the exhibition into studio and classroom engagement.
This session is open to faculty from RISD and regional colleges and universities.Free for faculty at member institutions or free with admission. Registration required.
